Mid-term Writing Test (435 words)


This survey is about Barak Obama. His birth name is Barak Hussein Obama and he was born in Hawaii. His mother is a white american woman and his father is a black kenyan man. His parents got divorced when he was only 2 year old. He attended Chicago law school and he also studied at Harvard university. When he finished his education, he started teaching at Harvard university. He also became the editor reviewer of Harvard university and he was the first african-american in that position . Obama is the first black president of United-States at the moment. This report is made to find out how much the first black president means a Change to people. So people gave some important reasons for this big change for United States.


This survey is sent to two different group of ages: The people 18 to 29 year old and the people 30 year and older. So the questions of this survey were the fallowing:

1- If you had vote during the last election in United States, would you have voted for Barack Obama or John McAin?
2- Do you think that the first black president in this country means change?
3-Barack Obama lead is campagn by talking about change, hope and responsability. Do you think he will respect those engagements? Do you wish he will?
4-Would you rather live with the politic of Obama than the one of Harper?
5-Do you think that Obama will bring peace between USA and other countries? Do you wish that the war stops? Explain your answer.


The results were very interesting because older people used think that Obama is not as important to younger people as he is to older people.
For the first question, both group of age answered Barak Obama.
For the secound question, both group said that barak Obama means a change. The reason is that because it shows that the society is not racist and also thats because Obama looks like a new hope after some years of obscurantism.
For the third question, some people said that they hope he respects and some people said no, because he is not the only person who decides in USA.
For the fifth question, The whole group of 30 year and older said that they prefer Obama`s politics but 5 % of younger people said that they prefer harper politics.
For the sixth question which was about bringing peace, some people said that they are sure that he will bring peace and some people said that they do not know.

The survey and the results show that Barak obama means a change to people. It shows that the majority of american electors are not racist and they are very realistics. Barak Obama talks about hope and resposibilities in his speechs. Even though if he is not the only one who decides for United States politic, he will have a big influence for sure and everybody hope that. Politics is not just about talking, its about taking resposibilities and actions. Barak Obama believes that USA will distroy the world but his objectif is not to make ennemies and wars. His politic is to make a friendly relation with other countries. He`s woking on the world economics and he is also making changes inside the USA like working on medical cares at the begining of his job. Barak Obama was a good election because he`s a smart and educated person. We hope he does his best on his job.
